We are looking to fill an IT Manager spot at G2 Branding & Design (Div. of Grey Adv., a couple of blocks down from the Grey Building) The salary is mid 50's Here is the job description:
Job Description-IT Manager We are currently seeking an IT Manager for G2 Branding & Design. The IT Manager will provide hardware & software support to all users (95% Mac, 5% Windows), with emphasis on good troubleshooting, software skills and general user support. They will have experience supporting the main graphics applications like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and also have good Mac Unix skills. They will also be responsible for identifying & troubleshooting all unresolved issues in the Help Desk area (both Mac & PC). The Specialist will also research and maintain existing/new software applications; as well as identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving application and systems issues. This will be an early 8:30-4:30PM spot. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: *Minimum of 3 years experience in a Mac/PC support role. *Minimum of 3 years experience with graphics applications like InDesign, Photoshop, Illlustrator. *Minimum of 3 years experience with pre-press and printing issues. *Minimum of 3 years experience with the Microsoft Office suite. *Operating systems administration experience, especially with Mac OS X and Mac OSX Server *Strong customer service orientation and excellent written and oral communication skills *Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment *Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities *Ability and willingness to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment *Willingness to work additional hours when necessary. DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBLITIES: *Support local and remote users, resolve hardware and software issues. *Assist in the planning and deployment of new applications and the enhancement of existing applications. *Ensure compatibility and interoperability of custom and 3rd party applications and software systems. *Develop system design proposals and project plans. *Write documentation for all custom built software and applications. *Train end-users on modified existing and new systems. *Review and maintain all software security related issues, and the hardware/software inventory.
