I have a Mac OS X. I'm having trouble copying a short video (downloaded from Vimeo) from my hard drive to a DVD. I'm using a -R. Do I need a +R? Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong but when I click on it after 'burning' I get a blank screen with a question mark on it. Thanks.

Hi,

You don't give me enough specific info to be of real help. Generally one does not have to worry about -R or +R as the machine will use the format it has the ability to use as well as the media can use and those will vary with hardware and OS version.

You don't say the format the file was downloaded so..

I would Google or go to Apple support site and put in some searches like how to burn a video DVD or see if Vimeo has a help section, etc. Disk Utility has HELP as does the OS under the HELP menu.

You can also try a program like Toast which makes doing this process easier but since you do not know the process or at least do not post the details, I don't know how to direct or correct your approach.
