REVIEW – REVIEW – REVIEW – |

In July, I attended the Macworld CreativePro Expo at the Javits Center. I didn’t attend the conferences or seminars, but I did speak to many of the vendors in the exhibit hall. Although many familiar ones were represented, many more were missing. It appeared to me that the Expo organizers had difficulty attracting Macintosh related sellers because two booths were selling muscle relaxers and massagers. They’re a nice touch, but – you know what I mean. In the past, I’ve returned home footsore and weary from trying to cover the entire show. Since this year’s took up only a fraction of the Javits Center’s floor, I had no such problem. The designated area was so much smaller this time that even the low attendances made it seem full. The Jacob Javits statue in the registration area seemed to be saying, “Where are all the Macintosh people?” (See photo below.) I was in the MetroMac booth for a 2-hour period so some of us may have spoken. Welcome to everyone who joined Metromac as a result of our recruitment efforts there. I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading our newsletter, and hope you’ll consider submitting a review or a tutorial for us to include. (Our editors are standing by.) If you are interested, contact us at newsletter@metromac.org. I’m happy to announce that we have two new members on our newsletter staff. Joanne Haire is our Photography Editor (help us welcome her by submitting your Macintosh- or MetroMac-related photos to us at newsletter@metromac.org. and look to our new Photography page for the latest pix.
