Checks and Balances
By the time you read this those of you are are supporting MetroMac as Supporting Members should be able to make your donations by check (made out to "MetroMac") as well as in cash (at meetings) or by Credit Card (through PayPal at our website). MetroMac has set up a bank account to store our funds until needed for printing, registration fees, etc. Bess Moffett, our hard-working Treasurer will be the account guardian, with strict controls to make sure nobody uses them for a trip to the Bahamas.

Home Improvement
Word has come from Apple that our June meeting at the Apple Store will have to be scrubbed because they'll be closed for renovation and improvements (it's only two years old, but already it need to grow to meet the demands of its faithful clientele). We'll be looking for an alternative meeting site for our scheduled event with 4D, but we'll be back at Apple in July for a special program with Rogue Amoeba, a local outfit that make audio recording and broadcasting utilities. Check our email blasts for details.

Of Mice and Menus
Speaking of information, remember that a lot of useful stuff is posted our our website: www.metromac.org. In addition to group info and computer news, and our newsletter, we have lists of special offers and discounts (accessible by Supporting Members), as well as a large number of discussion forums where you can get answers to those questions bugging you in the period between meeting Q&A sessions. Take some time to check it out.

Park the Car in the Harvard Yard
Registration has opened for Macworld Expo's summer program (free registration info is on the website). A reminder that they've pulled up stakes and high-tailed it back to Boston (perhaps all that unpleasantness in the AL East...) AND that, as far as we know, Apple will -NOT- be putting in an appearance. No idea as well who WILL be showing up, or what (if any) theme there'll be to the conference. MetroMac doesn't plan a group presence; but if you plan to be in Boston and can report back for us, let me know, and we'll see what we can do to get you credentials for assorted activities.
